As Country Managing Director, I am responsible for the overall ABB business operations in Vietnam, which is one of the fastest growing markets for ABB with sales, manufacturing, service and engineering footprint in the country.

CFO of a 2 billion USD business, responsible for the overall finance and business controlling function of a large business division in China. I played an active role as business partner to the division CEO in setting up the business strategy while driving business performance to achieve the strategic goals. Successfully established strong power products footprint in Chins with dominating position in the utilities and industrial market segment. I was also responsible to coach and supervise a team of financial controllers in 15 joints ventures operating in various locations in China.

Responsible for setting up a Shared Accounting Centre to manage the accounting operation of 26 legal entities with combined revenues of 5 billion USD in China. I built up the accounting centre as a professional service unit delivering high quality accunting services at competitive cost structure, while ensuring transparency and compliance in the accounting activities of the units. ERP platform was standardized while finance processes was streamlined and automated to deliver a high efficiency and productivity in the finance function.

I was responsible for business controlling, finance and accounting function, risk management, compliance and shared serivce functions of the company. I led the merger of two joint ventures to form one of the then largest transformers manufacturing units offering complete range of transformers products and services to the market. I have also supported the transformation of the company from domestic Chinese market focus to become export oriented.

I was responsible for monitoring and analysis of global business performance in medium voltage products. I was also involved in risk review of large projects during tender and execution stage. I co-ordinate global business units budget exercise, long term strategic financial planning. I was involved in the preparation of investment feasibilities studies, board review comments and management report.

I was responsible for treasury function in ABB Singapore. I took on the respibility to manage credit facilities, liquidities and bank relationships with the core banks. I was also responsible to manage risk related to currency, commodities fluctuation and liquidity risk of the company.

I was responsible for the finance and business controlling function of Power Products and Power System business in ABB Singapore.
