As the Director of Content Development at Emerging Assets Group (EAG), I advised the CEO directly and led a team of content creators who provided actionable insights via YouTube livestreams, Twitter, and TikTok delivering strategies for cryptocurrency investors and enthusiasts. That added tremendous prestige to our company. I hosted and produced engaging and informative daily YouTube shows on topics such as market trends, trading tips, portfolio management, and risk analysis, reaching over 11,000 subscribers and 2,200,00 views. Also, I used creative ideation to grow a TikTok following from 0 to 10,000 subscribers in 18 months. I created enough buzz about the company that the valuation of the company rose from $250,000 to $50,000,000 allowing the company to raise money at a high valuation and hire 20 people. The overall strategy was to use independent market research and content to act as a credible way to market a crypto project, avoiding any appearance of bias that can come from paid promotion. That credibility was then used to launch the world's first water trading mechanism on the blockchain. I helped explain the first Real World Asset play of this crypto cycle.

NEW PRODUCT CREATIONI worked closely with alt-coin legend Ian Balina to provide cryptocurrency analysis for institutional and retail customers. I was involved in every aspect of Token Metrics early development ranging from content creation, marketing, and working with quantitative and machine learning teams. In this role, I provided advice, content, and business strategy for successfully launching the two versions of the Token Metrics platform.RESEARCH LEADERSHIPI helped grow my YouTube following from 1000 in November of 2019 to 112,000 by June of 2022. My segment called the "Market Update" became so popular that I was given my own show. The daily view count on the show reached as high as 20,000 and has consistently been above 10,000 despite the market decline. I host the daily Token Metrics YouTube Livestream. As a thought leader in the crypto space, I was quoted in media outlets like Forbes, Bloomberg, and Coin Desk. I play a strategic role in managing the research department and releasing a research report to our clients seven days a week. I have done speaking engagements at crypto conferences. STRATEGIC ADVISORI was a part of the effort to help Token Metrics raise $5 million at an $85 million valuation. I advised on marketing, product pricing, hiring C-suite executives, pitch ideas for institutional products, and the white paper for possible an ERC-20 token.

I was recruited by famous Bitcoin pioneer Charlie Shrem to provide a new type for crypto research. I analyzed crypto in the context of other markets, making me one of the first people to use crypto as a part of macro research.

SALES EXCELLENCEI developed sales skills by producing warm leads for teams bringing in assets and selling managed accounts, including Schwab’s Intelligent Portfolio. In Q3 2017, the number of sales leads was in the top 20 percent for all brokers corporate-wide. I was recognized with the national Service Plus Award for exceeding management goals and generating leads that led to final sales of managed accounts or new assets under management.THOUGHT LEADERSHIPI engaged clients in discussions involving market conditions, trends, and provided investment education, resolved issues, and identified efficient and effective methods to meet client goals. Amongst my colleagues, I was recognized as “the resource” for Bitcoin and Ethereum and made improvements to Schwab’s conversation model regarding crypto.

THOUGHT LEADERSHIPIn this role, I was tasked to analyze market fluctuations as the Global Investment Research team lacked technical analysis tools. Using financial market pattern recognition software, I was able to identify parallels precipitating market change, and I identified, built, and presented market analytics that predicted the 2008 and subsequent 2009 economic crises. This platform provided an accurate roadmap for investment decisions, and sales teams used it to advise clients well in advance of the massive decline. As a direct result of my efforts, requests to be added to the distribution list rose 100%, and this strategy became standard operating procedure for technical analysis. MARKET SHARE CAPTUREI also achieved high-level accuracy for anticipating Chinese market fluctuations. Because of this, I was requested by senior management to promote this ability to potential Chinese customers. I built the strategy and led 70 presentations. Goldman Sachs trading units made substantial profits as word of this spread. I was asked to fly to mainland China and Hong Kong and present this analysis to all senior leaders of significant investment funds in China. The people I worked with commended me for providing “the most value of any Goldman Sachs analyst ever sent to mainland China.” NEW PRODUCT CREATIONManagement wanted a short-term equity index, and stock analysis and multiple efforts delivered marginal results. They called upon me to attempt recovery and, if successful, lead worldwide promotion. Using an existing historical data mining tool (Morningstar), I built a three-part process within 30 days to aggregate the data, used Excel and VBA to focus it on financial market indicators, and synthesized a bottom-line message for Instant Messaging. This enabled sales teams and clients to anticipate market changes during volatile periods, which escalated demand to the point where special arrangements were made for this to be sent out to clients.

RESEARCH EXCELLENCEI was recruited by the Head of Derivatives Strategy to build the first-ever historical data mining analysis tool to support Equity Derivatives Sales. This involved working in tandem with senior derivatives executives and used historical data mining to identify relevant patterns. This led to the creation of a research product used by the Options Research Group to achieve significant client profits. The following year, Options Research Group was voted #1 by Institutional Investor Magazine – defeating the main rival, Goldman Sachs, which recruited the team the next year.

DATA ANALYTICS / INNOVATION / ENTREPRENEURSHIP / MARKETING The company needed a web interface to engage customers, so I conceived and presented the idea to leadership and was called upon to work with software developers to create it. To accomplish this, I led critical research to identify the level of effectiveness required to build the research website that demonstrated the data base tool and query language that was branded “Market Information Machine” (now “Commodity Query”). The site launched in 90 days and delivered research enabling customers to invest using market intelligence. As a result of this effort software sales increased 20%.
