Responsible for the safe operation and troubleshooting of the coal handling receiving system. This includes crushers, crackers, beltlines, rollers, feeders, heaters, and burners. Walking through the system, identifying issues, attempting to repair or reducing to a work request utilizing the computer system , Asset Suite 6.

Direction and oversight of maintenance employees to ensure proper follow through of assignments and completion of projects according to established deadlines. Directly oversee the maintenance/rebuilding of all equipment on site including, steam driven turbines, fans, pumps, conveyor systems, mills, blowers and all system piping. Responsible to ensure the highest quality of work to meet or exceed expected outcomes. Play an integral role in budget development and implementation. Have excellent communication skills both with internal and external customers and stay current with industry changes. Accountable for assuring staff competency, conducting performance evaluations and am involved in the hiring and tenure of employees. Assisting with the development of corporate policies and procedures. Ensuring compliance therewith, as well as compliance with governmental rules and regulations. Overseeing industry safety standards and contractual agreements.

Establishing operational procedures and standards, resolving problems and coordinating departmental activities. Keeping daily log book of crew activitys. Working independently to ensure the oversight of shift responsibilities for Coal Handling Operations, including on duty CBO, CHOs and HEOs, ensuring safe receiving and reclaiming of coal to Craig Station. Issuing/Hanging Lockout/Tagout procedure for safe removal of plant equipment for routine or extended maintenance procedures. Hanging, and requiring employee compliance in the confined space procedure. Assigning work tasks and duties to employees. Overseeing site heavy equipment including assignment of snow removal, all excavations, coal movement, and special projects as assigned. Utilizes Tri-State resources, mechanical, electrical and instrument shop to trouble shoot and repair systems and provide safe and smooth operation. Assist employees to safely succeed in their assigned duties.

Responsible for troubleshooting and repair of plant equipment, as written in the work order, including but not limited to pumps, fans, beltlines, gear boxes, ball mills, bowl grinding mills. Steam driven turbine and generator. Accountable to walk down and lock onto LOTO as needed to safely isolate equipment. Accountable to follow procedures for the CSEP, to ensure safe vessel entry.

Responsible for safe operation and troubleshooting of a variety of types of heavy equipment including track dozers, road graders, trackhoes, rubber tire backhoe, tandem dump trucks, snow plows, front end loaders and operation of train locomotives to move and dump coal on plant site.
