I started in February 2024 as a volunteer assisting the personal training sessions. As of now I lead the one of the personal training sessions, in which I create a fitness program for our members. I lead two 30-minute personal training sessions every Thursday. I’d create a fitness plan consisting of 5-6 exercises that we would rotate through as well as focus on cardiovascular endurance training.

Colin’s Lodge is a place for adults with cognitive differences to enrich their lives, increase their independence, and expand their friendships. I’ve seen tremendous growth in my ability to build relationships and lead. I’ve also learned more about personal training as well as facility management. Throughout the summer, I would actively participate and communicate with the members in each program, enhancing their experience at the Lodge. Programs such as self-defense, personal training, and walk club, were leadership roles I would assume to assist the Colin’s Lodge staff.
