I am responsible for the testing of dry-type transformers at between 15kv class and 35kv class, single phase and 3-phase, to make sure they met the requirements set forth by the customer and I.S.O. and or C.S.A. standards. . I would first do a visual check of equipment to make sure it met our (A.B.B.) standards. Then I would perform required testing which consisted of but not limited to , Megger testing, Ratio testing, Insulation Resistance, Impedance Voltage test, Excitation test, Lighting Impulse up to 200kv, Sound test, Heat run test, (SFRA) Sweep Frequency Response Test, Power factor test, Partial Discharge, and basic dielectric testing among others. I am also knowledgeable and capable of the installation and maintenance of low voltage controls, relays, switches, contactors, control modules,etc.
