The Desk Assistant (DA) is an integral member of the Housing and Residence Life team, serving as one of the front-line representatives of the Boise State University community. Because of the dynamic environment of the front desk, a successful candidate should be able to manage administrative, customer service, and security-related tasks.

The Resident Assistant represents Housing & Residence Life as a key paraprofessional staff member and a student role model in the residence halls. RAs work under the direct supervision of the professional Resident Director staff (RD). Together, these staff members work as a team, and with students, to create and maintain a safe atmosphere that enriches the learning experience by creating an environment that fosters personal growth, academic success, civility and commitment to the citizenship.
