The 28 years in law enforcement doesn't do justice to the experience and drive I bring to projects and assignments. Ten of my years of service were spent overseeing the agency's crime prevention initiatives where I honed my public speaking and writing skills. I developed several programs that garnered both statewide and national attention. In addition to my work in community outreach, the crime prevention unit provided me with extensive training and experience in physical security assessments for both existing buildings and new build projects. My service as a crime prevention specialist also afforded me the opportunity to enhance my creative skills with the development of public service announcements for the department. In my time as a patrol officer, I served as a field training officer and police academy instructor. I have provided instruction in the fields of crime scene photography, patrol tactics, crime prevention and public speaking. For two years, I provided background investigations for potential new hires for the police department. During my academic and professional career, I have received a variety of awards and citations.
