I love an adventure, I love being committed to something, I love making sacrifices and taking risks that others aren’t willing to. I love being a part of something that money can’t buy. By stepping outside of my comfort zone time and time again, this mantra of mine has helped me live a life of extra-ordinary experiences so far.My life took un unexpected turn for the worst in 2007 after losing my leg in a volcanic eruption, on the slopes of Mt. Ruapehu, New Zealand. Instead of this ruining my life, I made a decision to rebuild my life and create incredible opportunities for myself and help others. My most recent adventure is founding and directing, Pro Armour. We specialise in the ultimate prosthetic covers for lower limb amputees. Our prosthetic covers stop everyday nasties like sand, dirt, dust and water from damaging expensive prosthetic feet and components. In 2022 we celebrated our 10 year anniversary. Nearly 130 schools around NZ participate in the programme in 2024. We believe that young people need challenging experiences to develop essential life skills. We play a significant part in preparing young people to be successful in the future. The William Pike Challenge is an exciting Education Outside the Classroom (EOTC), project based and service learning programme wrapped into one. As an inspirational speaker with hundreds of presentations under my belt, I’m grateful for the ability I have to inspire audiences up to 2500 people to step outside of their comfort zones to achieve their absolute best. I love telling incredible stories wrapped with key messages that have people crying one moment and laughing the next.
