Responsibilities included the management of JPMC project engineering staff members located in NY, Texas, England and Hong Kong and charged with the design, project management, installation commissioning of specialized building systems to provide for the sustained availability of business units, to assure continuity of the revenue stream, to preserve building assets and to provide for fire and life safety occupants of JPMC facilities globally. This function includes providing internal engineering consulting services of all construction and renovation projects to assure adherence to design standards and all applicable codes.• Develop engineering design standards for all facilities including data, trading and technology operating centers.• Develop the engineering concept design and schematic drawings for all projects for implementation by JPMC’s project engineer• Development of the scope of work for all critical systems service contracts.• Conduct engineering economic studies to evaluate building infrastructure improvements based on ROI, Cap recovery and EUAC models in engineering economics.• Provide engineering feasibility and facility impact studies, design load and energy usage calculations, due diligence reports and lease evaluations to support acquisitions.• Develop testing and commissioning procedures for all data, trading and technology operating centers • Strategic design and implementation of facility monitoring systems for local and remote monitoring of all critical facilities• Resource management of capacity utilization on all critical support systems to maximize utilization, to maintain redundancy to assure availability• Develop Leasing standards to assist real estate group - establish min landlord req for power & HVAC, operating hours and environmental performance criteria. • Complete the annual Expenditure Plan for all capital infrastructure investments.• Conduct performance appraisals and salary reviews for all project engineers.
