I am the Chief Security Officer for RaySecur Inc., a founding member focused on multiplying security for primarily corporate clients. In this role I lead the company’s physical security efforts, overseeing a team of EOD professionals, and managing our client’s threat mitigation efforts. Our most exciting work to date was creating a holistic approach to logistical physical security processes that are realistic and repeatable across the spectrum of our clients. Not only did we identify industry shortfalls in the space but solved problems that many did not have the bandwidth to solve. Before joining RaySecur, I retired from the Army with 25 years of service as an Explosive Ordnance Disposal(EOD) Technician and multifunctional logistician. I was fortunate enough to serve in very interesting and challenging duty assignments both within the United States and locations overseas. I’m truly passionate about the security space and always eager to connect with other professionals. While I enjoy all aspects of my profession, my favorite stage of a project is the initial laydown of the problem and the wargaming it takes to begin increasing the levels of protection the riddle poses. While the formal decision-making process is important the early stages of a difficult to codify problem hold the most interest for me.I have an MA from the Naval War College and a BA from the University of California at Chico.I’m always interested in hearing from former colleagues, managers, or just interesting people, so feel free to contact me if you’d like to connect.william.d.plummer@gmail.com
