Global Procurement role with responsibility for Real Estate, Facilities Management & HR Categories. Responsible for circa $33m of spend per annum. Role consists of engaging with Senior Stakeholders in terms of delivering key business change as part of company-wide initiatives following takeover in 2019.

Responsible for the Professional Services within the organisation. The role included defining category plans and utilising Frameworks with Key Partners to help define and drive the Company's strategy in this area. Building key relationships with Senior Leaders of the business was critical for the success. Key deliverables included:Carrying out a full RFP in the Legal space that resulted in a new panel delivering over £2m per annum in cost savings as well as value add Services, Developing new relationships where Procurement were not previously visible,Led Business Winter Resilience project which was a joint venture between HAL & British Airways, Being identified as future Leader at Heathrow and awarded place on Heathrow’s ‘First Time Flyers Programme.’

Working as a Buyer in the Indirects team. Responsible for Sourcing suppliers, identifying savings opportunities and process efficiencies, building strategic category plans, producing proposals to take to the Senior Executive Team and also putting in place Preferred Supplier Lists across a number of remits.These areas are achieved via managing projects throughout the entire tender process, Working with both internal and external stakeholders across all areas of the business including central functions, wellbeing and hospital. Main areas of involvement at present relate to all Non Clinical Procurement (Indirects) areas and include Professional Services, HR including Recruitment & Training, Fleet, Waste & FM to name but a few. Examples of recent projects consist of Document Storage Medical Records (£700k), Medical Training across Life Support / Resuscitation, Aseptic Training & Surgical First Assistant Training (£600k), Also currently working across a number of rationalisation of suppliers & Categories including Professional Services such as Employee Screening & DBS checks. Spend on this remit is circa £500k.

Working as a Buyer relating to areas of Fleet Logistics and Supply Chain. Responsible for looking after suppliers whilst ensuring the company are receiving competitive rates and processes are being followed.Role includes running tenders, carrying out benchmarking, maximing revenue into the business through disposal techniques and processes, complying with VOSA standards. Looking after large areas of spend is a major focus also. Recent projects include: oil and lubricants, purchasing vehicles at end of lease, purchasing Slide and Carry Systems as well as negotiating future purchases for a very large fleet.Heavily involved with the company car piece such as authorising and negotiating damage reports and mileage reports as well as implementing a Driver Training Programme. Carried out Licence Checking Project with a competion rate of 98% from 705 drivers.

Managing and running tenders mainly focusing on indirect spend. Analysing new ways and opportunites of reducing company spend including rationalisation of suppliers and identifying more cost effective processes.Recent tenders includes:Stationery (£100k per annum saving), Mobile Telecommunications (£200k per annum saving) and Archiving (£130k per annum saving).
