Joined MIT AI startup Bluefin Labs as a consultant to develop and lead a pioneering year-long project to demonstrate the power of data analytics on social media discourse for detecting public opinion. Major media coverage including ABC News and Associated Press. After the project's conclusion, Bluefin Labs, which had been founded with a modest federal science grant, was sold to Twitter for a reported $90 million
