Roughly a decade of operating heavy equipment came to a screeching stop in 2008 due to the economic recession and many construction companies having no choice but to close their doors or at the very least, ceasing production of existing operations. Little did I know, this national crisis would correct my professional course in life and propel me through the following decade with non-stop learning opportunities and experiences, ultimately honing my skill-set in people management, product engagement, and business operations.In 2016 while managing a hyper successful "Throw-back" restaurant concept, I was constantly looking for good help yet my hiring efforts were seemingly never ending. This was when I connected with "HUSL" (now Shifts by SNAGAJOB) a business concept that connects qualified workers with open shifts in restaurants and retail storefronts. This was an amazing concept that actually worked! So amazing in fact, I pursued a position with the start-up concept and was hired as an operations engagement manager. My time with Snagajob yielded countless learning opportunities while managing 7 southeastern markets consisting of 10,000+ hourly employees and all while transitioning from a 1099 independent contractor status to a full fledged W2 employer. Sprinkle in a little Covid-19 with the above initiatives and you've got yourself a ton of unique situations/scenarios/mandates that brought along an abundance of unforeseen challenges that I'm proud to have played a part in solving. I love working with multiple departments to accomplish common goals and am hopeful that my next work environment will provide similar opportunities.
