Worked with System Program Office (SPO) and other Operational Managers to provide enterprise desktop/server and support systems software configuration development and maintenance support for the AF and other DoD functional customers. Directed the planning and budgeting for development, modification and maintenance of desktop/server configuration and support systems software and documents. Provided support for system analysis, design, programming, test and other activities involved in software configuration development and sustainment following the tailored Enterprise Standard Process. Worked with SPOs and other Operations Managers to develop schedule and cost estimates for projects being supported for the assigned systems. Tracked project cost/schedules and develop reports and briefings to keep SPO and other Operation Managers informed on matters related to customer support. Served as the Project Team Lead for the Air Force Power Management Project . Established standards, tested scripts and applications, and provided support for the AF energy savings initiative, disseminating systems stand-by functions and procedures for implementation AF wide. Served as a Tester/Analyzer for the AFSUP. Assisted in establishing a defined and repeatable security patch test process which examines and validates Microsoft Security Patches against selected Air Force applications and Air Force Windows-based Desktop and Server configurations during routine monthly test cycles. This process significantly minimizes the impact of Microsoft related security risks to the Air Force network and decreases enterprise-wide patch deployment time by making tested patches available at public release. Served as a Tester for the AFTAP. The AFTAP provides the research, testing, evaluation, risk assessment and documentation necessary to advise the US Air Force whether to implement the next version of the Microsoft products deemed vital to the Air Force’s ability to achieve the enterprise goals.
