Algeria

Team lead fulfilling warehouse supervision duties to a 90 million Dollar inventory to support a CPF producing over 100000 bbls of crude oil per day and the drilling / well intervention campaign, direct and manage supply of all drilling / well services equipment, CPF related materials, and, production chemicals. Run monthly min-max restocking report, create purchase requisitions for all departments, follow up monitoring and approval of technical evaluations for all offers in compliance with company procedures, follow up and monitoring of purchase orders, local and international shipments to avoid stock disruption.Create, maintain and update item code database to avoid the creation of duplicate codes. Labelled, and, supervised the reception and issuance of all items to ensure they were received / delivered as per end user’s requirements.Continuous monitoring of low consumption and obsolete items to avoid overstocking. Liaise with all end users to streamline updates to min max parameters for commodity codes. Prepare detailed reports in line with managers’ requirements regarding to chemicals, low rotation items, and obsolete and special project materials.Assigned in 2014 and until 2019 to a much smaller field also in Algeria producing approx. 12000 bbls / day, managing a 15 million dollar inventory where the same type of service above mentioned was provided, except warehouse was set up from cero.

Cuba

Supervision and leading of negotiations to implement strategic Supply Chain Agreements. Supplier Relationship Management, Vendor selection and tender evaluation, development of alternative supply sources from a global perspective to provide the goods and services for a 5 drilling rig / and 4 service rig operation in Cuba, with a 60 million dollar inventory.Key Responsibilities:Procurement & Logistics policy development and planning in coordination with Cuba Country Manger.Departmental staff recruitment, development, training and management. Define plans and prepare logistics support service requirements for the planned Drilling, Completion, Work-over and Production activities for the company in Cuba.Inventory control and replenishment to meet company targets.Constant feedback and open communication with other Departments as required, in the preparation of our logistics strategic plans, including but not limited to ocean, aviation, and road transportation.Liaising with suppliers and freight forwarders on shipments information:Follow up of logistical activity in the field.Analyze progress of activity against plans.Negotiation and administration of purchasing contracts.Cost saving budgeting and targeting.Accounting evaluation and financial justification.Payment terms negotiation, optimization and management. International trading issues/imports/legal, awareness and management.Adhere to stated policies and procedures relating to health safety and quality management.Administration and reporting as necessary.Direct supervisor to 30 employees, locals and foreigners.

In charge of Logistics, Purchasing / Import and export of Wellhead Equipment to attend the Colombian market, raw materials were procured worldwide for the Venezuelan factory, and, then imported to Colombia to meet clients requirements.

US$75 Million inventory.Direct supervisor to 12 employees.On BP-Amoco payroll until February 1998, then on contractor’s payroll in the same job capacity.

Attended to the materials and Logistics needs of ten drilling rigs working for BP Exploration Colombia, in charge of receiving, storage and dispatching of all rig components. Also controlled minimum and maximum stock levels as most materials were imported from the United States.Direct Supervisor to 6 employees.
