I ran the social schedule for the World Economic Forum (WEF). My duties included writing social copy and headlines, researching new pieces of content and organising a schedule of 50 articles a day, using the company’s CMS. I have also done some live tweeting sessions on WEF’s account to their 3.3 million followers. I was part of the social media team in Dubai for the Varkey Foundation’s Global Teacher Prize, where I was delivering fast turnaround content across the event.

I worked for a sport start-up company in London. My roles included being in charge of the social media accounts, writing daily blogs for the website and coming up with and implementing creative marketing ideas for the company. I was also involved in the process of drawing up prototypes for different parts of the product that will be used later in the year.

I was part of the web team at LBC, which included writing and editing articles for the website, editing video content and ensuring that the Facebook and Twitter pages were constantly active. I was responsible for the live feeds and website for the Nigel Farage Show, during which I “tweeted” live and ensured that the show got as many viewers as possible. After the show I wrote content to put on the website and social media.

Austria

I worked a winter ski season as a Front of House member in a chalet hotel. I was responsible for the day to day running of the chalet hotel, delivering both breakfast and dinner service with professionalism and enthusiasm. Working as part of a group of 15 staff members, our strong sense of team work and attention to detail has resulted in our chalet hotel finishing as number one in Austria, and fifth in the whole of the company.

I was a member of the traffic and travel team at the South West London and North Surrey radio station Radio Jackie. I was responsible for going live on air for the hourly travel updates and reading scripts that I have written. I also anchored several of my own shows, where I was solely responsible for engaging the listeners with competitions, local events and the Radio Jackie music playlist.

I worked for 3 weeks for The Communications Store fashion PR company. My responsibilities included returning and logging designer clothes, creating weekly publication editorials and general administration. I was a member of a large operational team during London Fashion week, working under intense pressure and to tight deadlines.

I had a weekly radio show on the University radio station during my entire time at the University. Features of the show have included interviewing important members of the University, playing weekly games and pre-writing material to use throughout the show. I also created and edited podcasts using the Audacity programme for each of my shows.

Wimbledon

I worked as a member of the bar staff in one of the corporate suites at the Wimbledon Tennis Championships. A major part of my role was welcoming guests and being engaging and helpful. I also had to serve food and drinks to customers, keeping to a tight schedule in order to fit with the order of play. Each day also included clearing, cleaning and restocking the suite in preparation for evening events, which improved both my team working and organisational skills. The next year I worked in the Michelin star restaurant the Gatsby Suite which had over 650 covers. This included serving food to customers and clearing the kitchen in preparation for the next day’s service. I was awarded the Team Member Champion Award for my hard work and team spirit.

Great Missenden, Buckinghamshire

This role involved working on the till, general museum duties and greeting customers. A lot of my time was spent acting out stories to the children and educating them about Roald Dahl. I had to be approachable and friendly to customers and make them feel comfortable in the environment. I also worked as part of a large team and although at times under considerable pressure, it was part of the job I greatly enjoyed.
