• Oversee all aspects of property accounting, accounts payable, and accounts receivable• Implementation of Yardi Accounting Software • Onboarding new associates with accounting training and policies/procedures• Maintain relationship with bank regarding mortgage loans and escrow disbursements• Manage the accounting onboarding for new acquisitions

-Monthly close and quarterly reporting on residential and commercial real estate-Analyze and review all financial reports prepared by any third party managers and assist in any questions or issues from the third party managers-Maintain fixed asset sub ledger for residential, commercial, and management companies-Prepare property level and holding company yearly audit and tax packages-Quarterly and yearly bank compliance reporting-Oversee allocations and reimbursements done to entire portfolio of properties over various funds-Record the monthly activity of the numerous marketable securities, private equity, public equity and hedge fund investments that the company is invested in-Prepare the audit work papers for the yearly audit and quarterly reporting for the organization’s marketable securities and other investments-Maintain and book interest expense for notes between operating companies and properties with a SWAP agreement-Prepare accurate and timely accounting records for the numerous ownership companies within the organization structure related to company joint ventures-Interface with auditors in preparation of annual financial statements, footnotes disclosures and all required documentation requests-Review, prepare or assist in the preparation of over 150 tax packages-Work directly with various external auditors for year end and interim audits-Preparation of annual financial statements, footnotes disclosures and all required documentation requests for partnerships, marketable securities, and other investments. Insure a complete and accurate audit package is prepared for the auditors. Be the primary contact for the auditors throughout the audit-Insure that all related tax work for partnerships, management companies, marketable securities and other investments is completed, reviewed, and given to the Tax Department on a timely basis-Special projects as required by management

• Review monthly profit/loss statements• Balance Sheet Account Reconciliations/ resolve any discrepancies• Prepare Monthly Income Statement/ Balance Sheet/ Cash Flow • Company bank reconciliation/ monitor daily cash activity• Manage other accountants in sales tax filing and research• Track Capital Spending/ Forecast and maintain fixed asset sub ledger• Create/modify reporting methods for various departments• Oversee department intern• Manage single franchise restaurant books (incl. Cash, A/P, Monthly Financials)• Assist in year end audit• Prepare bankruptcy report forms to file in court during Chapter 11 bankruptcy
