Monitoring and controlling greenhouse systems for two .5 acre greenhouse ranges. I manage two part time student employees and assist with the management of four more. I interact with researchers, their staff and students to maintain plant material in the greenhouses.

In this position I had a wide range of experience including: Herbicide and weed control research and extension in vegetables and small fruit crops. Herbicide, mixing and application. Producing and editing extension publications. Assisting other researchers with vegetable and small fruit weed control.Experience in nursery and field grown woody ornamental crops. Assisting researchers and graduate students plan, construct and carry out various research projects involving irrigation volume research, fertilizer effluent evaluation, low volume irrigation efficiency and timing, Controlled release fertilizer evaluation, growing substrate and plant material sample preparation and analysis. Statistical analysis using the SAS system to evaluate data collected. Assisted in numerous experiments within the NC State Phytotron. Worked closely with faculty and graduate students to plan, conduct and evaluate experiments in nursery and field plots. I have extensive experience building, operating and maintaining low volume and overhead irrigation systems in simulated nursery plots. Experience collecting and storing pour-thru water samples from experiments and processing them for transfer to labs for evaluation.
