As the deputy I am responsible for providing expert technical and analytical advice to the CIO and organizational leaders in matters relating to information management issues (telecommunications, automation, information assurance, and architecture). Provides standards and guidance for the proposal and implementation of system changes and new technology. Provides technical leadership for all technology initiatives, including development and support of capabilities for Information Assurance, desktop and end-user support; communication systems operation and evolution (including WAN and LAN design), performance engineering, maintenance and operation; and systems programming and administration.

Plans work requirements and personnel needs based on existing or anticipated operational requirements that affect office operations or changes in manpower and funds availability. Serves as Wired and Wireless Network Engineer for Eisenhower Army Medical Center (EAMC), Fort Gordon, Georgia. Responsibilities include the Fort Gordon medical campus (medical center and forty-five outlying buildings) and five subordinate geographically remote military treatment facilities.

Assist in Design and creating the engineering design documents for BAN/LAN, to accommodate the customer requests. Provide leadership and guidance to technicians with implementation and maintenance of the network issues. Work closely with the use of various network protocols hardware. Maintain direct contact with Network Operations Center (NOC) to rectify system outages. Responsible for fault isolation and recovery of various network outages.
