William Richard began his professional life in sustainable construction, oriented on new building materials, he became interested in pozzolane and created in Auvergne a volcanic rock treatment factory. With exceptional environmental properties, The pozzolane products are used on the following applications : Wastewater filtration, drainage of parks and gardens, snow removal of roads, sound insulation of facades.In 1995, he was called by the Presidency and head office of EDF and became special adviser for the development of electric transport in France. (Ex-DTVE Direction des transports et véhicules électriques)In 1999, he’s starting a conversion and after having graduated from the CEFPF (European Film Production Training Centre) in Paris as line producer, he affirms his passion for cinema and consolidates this new path by partnering in a production service project abroad.Thus in 2000, he created the production company «STRATA production» (Zagreb/ Croatia) which was the first service production company to invite, after the war of the former Yugoslavia, foreign productions to come and shoot in CROATIA.Between 2000 and 2015, together with its partner Albert Kapovic, they developed the business and hosted more than 60 international productions and promoted the richness of the natural scenery of the country that will quickly establish itself as one of the leaders in the production of services in Europe.In 2005, Croatia opened the Croatian Audiovisual Center, the current HAVC, of which A. Kapovic will be the first director, who will supervise the local production and the incentive tools (Tax Rebate) for the development of filming in Croatia.Working as an advisor to Albert Kapovic, William Richard will also bring the first US feature film projects as part of the production of services in Croatia.
