What started as an innocent phone call between two lifelong friends, turned into a purpose-driven mission combining entertainment with education to enlighten, empower, and enrich children. John O’Neill, my childhood friend who is an elementary school teacher, and I founded 4e to make a difference and create character building programs for children. In addition to serving as the CEO, I have been the Executive Producer of 4e MUSIC, an ASCAP & BMI-licensed publisher of inspirational children’s music, and the Publisher and Editor-in-Chief of BTWEEN Magazine, a children’s lifestyle publication. Among our proudest accomplishments was the creation and development of “Letters to Daddy: The Musical Key to Bully-Free,” an original musical stage production cast entirely with children. This musical has achieved notable media recognition, including stints on CBS-NY, WPIX-TV, and Cablevision, and acknowledgements from several political dignitaries including former White House Drug Czar Gil Kerlikowske. The musical also enjoyed a successful 18-month tour in Orange County, NY. This was due to sponsorship revenue and the support of the County Executive, Youth Bureau, Social Services Department, and System of Care in Orange County, NY. Among the tour highlights were sold-out shows at several noteworthy venues including the historic Paramount Theatre in Middletown, NY and Bethel Woods Center for the Arts. There was a positive ripple effect within the community as hundreds of testimonials, accolades, and positive feedback flooded in around the positive impact the musical had on thousands of audience members and dignitaries. One of the featured songs in the musical, “Together We Can Change the World,” has been showcased in many YouTube videos and continues to have a global impact having been sung by thousands of choir members across six continents. A truly magical endeavor, the musical is still in circulation and available to schools and community theatres through licensing.

Even Field® is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit character development organization founded by Chuck Wilson, a long time ESPN Radio host and Rhode Island Hall of Fame Broadcaster, that promotes integrity, life skills, and leadership, through sports. Our purpose is to help youth develop the intention, courage, and reasoning skills to make caring, principled choices in sports and life. Our approach is to present inspirational and thought-provoking stories, observations, and insights about character and leadership, shared by professional and amateur athletes, coaches, and others. We also work with adults providing coach/mentor/parenting tools and strategies to strengthen character, resilience, leadership, and team culture. Serving as the Business Development Manager, I had the privilege to apply my creativity and innovation to a completely unique field of production, global technology, and renewable energy. This leadership position incorporated a variety of project management roles, including serving as a liaison to clients, vendors, and fabricators in the development, commercialization, and marketing of proprietary, world-changing technology. Serving as the production and logistics lead, I supervised a dedicated team of engineers and technicians during the successful fabrication of the flagship “EGS 5000L Thermal Waste Treatment System,” an unparalleled system of converting solid waste into renewable energy.

Created stories, developed characterization and themes, and wrote and revised scripts for the PBS Children’s television series. Reported directly to the Show Runner. Recognized as a finalist for “The Humanitas Prize” for outstanding humanitarian television script for the episode, “Sacrifice”.

Plantsville, Connecticut, United States

Led creative content, finance, operations, and project management and managed a budget of $40,000 per episode. Set program schedules, obtained funding, managed cast, organized a crew of 12, and planned show details. Designed and developed a high-end pitch presentation that included a DVD of the pilot episode featuring Tiki Barber of the NY Giants and 4-time Olympian Dara Torres.

Managed the programming and production departments, administering all facets of creative content for eight ESPN-branded sports-themed restaurants. Managed a budget in excess of $1 million annually. Orchestrated more than 100 broadcasts originating from the sites. Led a team of four Corporate Managers plus 12 site Production Managers and Marketing Directors. Reported to the Vice President of Marketing. Saved $575,000 on the design and construction of a new stage, broadcast set, and control room at ESPN Zone in Denver by leveraging resources, creativity, and a large network of professional and personal connections.

Executive Producer of Talk ProgrammingSupervised production and programming for ESPN Radio. Oversaw all network talk shows, including remote broadcasts and major sporting events. Managed an annual budget of $7 million with 33 direct reports, including talent and producers. Promoted six times in eight years for outstanding achievements and leadership. Reported to the General Manager of ESPN Radio. Contributed to $100+ million in profits through the launch of the morning show later known as “Mike & Mike”, a NAB Broadcasting Hall of Fame show aired on 600+ affiliates nationally by collaboratively shaping the creative theme, developing show features, and balancing host chemistry.
