Following a diverse career in business, law, and government, Bill began tutoring in 2007 to pursue his lifelong desire to teach. He quickly became one of the most sought-after tutors in the Philadelphia area, among both public and private school students. Along with the SAT and ACT, Bill offers academic and AP support in English Language and Literature, American, European, and World History, Political and Social Science, and Mathematics. At the Graduate level, Bill helps students prepare for the GRE, the GMAT, and the LSAT. At the other end of the age spectrum, he works with lower and middle school students on the SSAT, ISEE, and other prep school admissions tests.A Philadelphian by birth, Bill earned his BA in History from Pennsylvania State University and his JD from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law. He practiced law in Baltimore, and remains a member of the Maryland Bar (on inactive status). He joined the Naval Intelligence Command as an Intelligence Analyst in 1984, spending five years as a Middle East area research specialist. During that time, he completed the coursework for an MA in International Relations at American University, studying American Foreign Policy and the Middle East. In 1988 he returned to the Philadelphia area to join his family’s printing and graphic arts firm. In 1999, the family sold to a public buyer, and Bill stayed on as President for an additional two years.Since starting tutoring in 2007, Bill has developed proprietary curricula for both the SAT and the ACT, and he has trained dozens of tutors on each. Bill has a natural ability to connect with students of all kinds at all levels, and his infectious love of learning and ability to clarify complex subject matter have earned him a fast-growing reputation in Philadelphia area private and public schools and among students seeking admission to elite graduate programs.Bill teaches an ACT class at AIM Academy, a private school for students with reading disabilities outside Philadelphia.
