Promoted from Appellate Manager to join a small but highly-effective team responsible for developing and maintaining critical professional relationships with state workforce agency leadership. I was also a central point of contact between Equifax Workforce Solutions ("EWS") and the U.S. Department of Labor.As a Government Relations manager for the Western U.S., I was responsible for analysis of regulatory compliance and review of proposed changes for a region that comprised 26 state jurisdictions. Clients relied me to provide advice on potential upcoming changes affecting the unemployment insurance landscape and impact on their tax liability. I was responsible for producing client-facing briefing reports in a concise, informative, easily-understood format. My briefing reports recommended action steps and/or operational modifications based on my analysis of the issues.I am a past member of the Association of Washington Business - Unemployment Insurance Committee. I held a chair on the State of Washington Employment Security Department's (ESD) Unemployment Insurance Advisory Committee for 6 years. As an advisor to that Committee, I was relied on by ESD to contribute to agency request legislation and agency regulation proposals. I have considerable experience at advocating for EWS and their clients before the state workforce agencies and state legislatures. I was the principal advisor at EWS on the topic of school employer claims, and the state/federal interpretations of reasonable assurance. For our larger clients, I spear-headed a successful initiative of face-to-face meetings with top state workforce agency leaders across the country. I developed the concept of the EWS State Connector Portal. It improves the integrity and turn-around time of employer responses to mandatory pre-determination fact finding requests sent by the state agencies. I also contributed to the development of the EWS Employer Wage Audit Solution.

I began my unemployment insurance compensation career with Employers Unity (acquired by Equifax Workforce Solutions) as a hearing representative in 2003. My prior work as an advanced paralegal for three distinguished Seattle attorneys taught me to build solid relationships with the court clerks. I leveraged that skill to develop working relationships with the chief administrative law judges and state workforce agency leaders. I became a primary hearing representative for many of our Fortune 500 clients. My designation as assigned primary representative was included as part of our contracts with government and school employer clients.I successfully mentored over a dozen attorneys and paralegals to become the company's top team of hearing representatives in the areas of client satisfaction and retention.
