William S. Marth, has served as the Global President and Chief Executive Officer of North America & Europe of Avet Pharma Holdings Inc. (“Avet Pharma”) (formerly Heritage Pharma Holdings Inc.), a specialty generic pharmaceutical company and subsidiary of Emcure Pharmaceuticals Ltd. (“Emcure”), a leading pharmaceutical company, since April 2018. Mr. Marth also serves as the Managing Partner of North Ocean Ventures, LLC, a consulting firm that assists pharmaceutical businesses, since September 2020. Previously, Mr. Marth served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Albany Molecular Research, Inc. (“Albany Molecular”) (formerly NASDAQ: AMRI), a global contract research and manufacturing company providing services to the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries, from January 2014 to January 2018, which was taken private by private equity firms The Carlyle Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: CG) and GTCR LLC in August 2017. Prior to that, Mr. Marth served in various senior leadership roles at Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Limited (NYSE: TEVA), a global pharmaceutical company, from to July 1999 to January 2013, including serving as President and Chief Executive Officer of Teva Pharmaceuticals – Americas, from June 2010 to January 2013, Chief Executive Officer of Teva North America, from January 2008 to June 2010, and President and Chief Executive Officer of Teva USA, from January 2005 to January 2008. Mr. Marth has served on the boards of directors of Avet Pharma and certain other subsidiaries of Emcure, since April 2018. Mr. Marth served on the board of directors of Galmed Pharmaceuticals Ltd. (NASDAQ: GLMD), a clinical stage biopharmaceutical company, from March 2014 to August 2020, Sorrento Therapeutics, Inc. (NASDAQ: SRNE), a clinical stage and commercial biopharma company, from January 2014 to July 2017, and Albany Molecular, from May 2012 to August 2017. Mr. Marth holds a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from the University of Illinois College of Pharmacy, a Masters in Business Administration from the Keller Graduate School of Management, DeVry University, and an honorary Doctor of Humane Letters from the Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences.
