William Schaefer has over 20 years of experience including executive and board level positions in the Information Technology and Management Consulting sectors. Serves as CEO and President of Amyx, fully focused on ensuring Amyx's customer support remains a key differentiator in industry and in providing high value services in the areas of systems modernization, cyber security, data analytics, eDiscovery, and SETA. Responsible for several strategic ventures as CEO and Board member including the January 2023 acquisition by Tetra Tech with Amyx now established as a wholly owned subsidiary within the Federal IT portfolio. Served as Amyx's COO prior to assuming the CEO role in 2020, leading the build out of Amyx's cyber security and systems modernization practice areas which resulted in Amyx being named the fourth largest cyber security company in the Washington DC metro area (2023) and 30-40% compound annual growth over the past six years. During his tenure as COO, he was also recognized as a “40 under 40 Rising Star in the Washington DC Federal technology community.”Prior to joining Amyx, William served in management roles for large Asian-Pacific IT Consulting firms and U.S. small businesses. His career spans both commercial and public sector experience including key roles on R&D programs at the Georgia Tech Research Institute and later as North American Sales Manager for Tenix Pty, Ltd’s Crossbow Data Management and Visualization software platform. He has successfully led complex systems integration projects supporting US Federal Government clients such as the Defense Logistics Agency, United States Transportation Command, and Department of Homeland Security.
