School Safety Specialist / Emergency Management Liaison. Responsible for the supervision and oversight of all school safety and security personnel, policies, and procedures in the school district, including at charter schools. Serves as the school district's liaison with local public safety agencies and national, state, and community agencies and organizations in matters of school safety and security. Supervises effective training and evaluation, to all staff and students for active shooter/assailant and other emergency related scenarios, report compliance of drills and training according to state statute. Lead interviews and writes job descriptions for security personnel. Conduct yearly site assessments for safety and security items, report and track any discrepancies. Serve as the School District’s representative in the county Emergency Operations Center (EOC) during disasters and as a Liaison for routine business between the district and EOC. Review, update and evaluate district Emergency Operation Plans as required for all phases of emergency management to include prevention, mitigation, protection, response and recovery.
