A renowned English poet, playwright, and actor, William Shakespeare cemented his name into the world of art and literature. He is also known for being "England's National Poet" and "The Bard of Avon."He attended the King's grammar school in Stratford for his further education. The school's curriculum emphasized studying the spoken and written Latin language. Some writers' writings were even studied in their original Latin form. Shakespeare is supposed to have left school between the ages of 14 and 15 to begin a seven-year apprenticeship.Shakespeare is active in the London theatrical community for almost twenty years, first as an actor, then as a writer, and eventually as a business partner in one of the most prominent performing companies of the day, the Lord Chamberlain's Men, which was later renamed the King's Men in 1603.
