• Researched in a colloids laboratory during the summer developing a thesis for a PhD candidate• 2nd author on a density gradient comprehensive paper with my graduate student mentor• Collect and analyze data to develop statistical trends pertinent to the overall research goals• 1 of 22 students chosen from a nationwide pool to conduct research at Penn State • Experimented with new syntheses techniques involving polymers and gold• Core/shell synthesis using gold nucleation sites
