Over the past 27 years of my career, I had a wide spectrum of working experience from being a Sales Representative, Business Developments and Operations and currently as a Station Manager with SBS Transit. In the first 14 years of my career, I worked as a junior staff from as a Sales Representative of a beverage company to a Sales Executive for a security seal maker for the regional market.In 2008, I started to put myself in the next level of management as an Assistant Manager (AM) of Mariana Shipping, a shipping company handling the far eastern shipping route.As AM of this shipping agency, I have to supervise the agency’s performance and daily operations matters, monitoring and continue to improve our strategic market position and making ourselves more profitable.A year later, I took up the position as a Business Development Manager (BDM) at Qian Hu Marketing,As a BDM. I am solely in charge of Qian Hu Marketing (QHM) operations in Thailand and reports directly to my MD.I am in-charge of 4 departments, mainly the sales, procurement, warehousing inventory, HR. Fast forward, I had a short stay in a HVAC engineering company dealing with oil rigs operators from 2013 to mid 2016.In year 2016, I joined SBS Transit as a Station Manager (SM).As a SM of the North-East Line, I worked as a multi-role from handling security issues to rendering first aid to injured passengers.A usually day will start with routine checks on the station serviceability, checking the lifts, escalators, lighting, even the public toilets will have to be checked before the station is open for commuters.Then, coming on to the administrative matters, it will be the scheduling of the staffs training and refresher courses, distribution of manpower, and recently due to Covid, I have to take up the duty as swab supervisor.On top of the daily and usual routines, some impromptu “adventures” will be search for missing person, looking out for suspicious person or packages.However, my main core of duties is still providing customer service to the passengers, providing them the information of our rail system and travelling directions.
