Currently I am working in Airport Technology Research and Development at the FAA tech center. Previously I taught three classes in Airport Operations for the Port Authority of NY and NJ at Vaughn college. I found it a rewarding experience. I had a great time helping people prepare for a career at the New York airports, With each new class I teach I learn something new about how the NYC aviation community copes with their space restrictions and adapt at all three airports.I spent 36 years in Philadelphia working on airport's certification documents, managed maintenance activities and personnel, selecting vendors based on RFPs, directing snow removal operations, and supervising a varied staff of operations staff, communications operators, ID badge operations. In labor relations I have worked on both sides of the table, as a union shop steward and a member of management. An equal amount of time was spent managing a seven terminal 125 gate passenger complex with retail shopping districts. Emphasis on Customer service and risk management. For nine years I was on the Board of Directors of the Northeast Chapter of the American Association of Airport Executives, I was the chair person of their Scholarship and Grants program for nine years. For six years I worked on their Conference Site selection team working with Convention and Visitor Bureaus and hotels to select sites for the annual conference and International Aviation Snow Symposium.
