Provide direct support to the MCYM Executive Director in the submission of proposals (applications) and reports for numerous Foundation grant initiatives. Manage the Stewardship Project composed of multiple strategic project lines designed to maintain organizational focus and balance, in-keeping with a Harvard Balanced Scorecard style of management initiatives.

Norfolk, Virginia Area

Supported the Director of Operations, CAPT Diehl, on Current and Future Operations planning and execution and Global Force Management of Second Fleet units and assets.

Plan and execute Navy force deployment movements to fulfill the Navy’s force requirements in support of Operations IRAQI and ENDURING FREEDOM (OIF/OEF), as specified in the Secretary of Defense’s Global Force Management Allocation Plan (GFMAP) Annex A. Refine movement requirements for forces and supporting equipment. Collect, conduct quality assurance, input and manage movement data in the Joint Operation Planning and Execution System (JOPES) information technology tool, residing on the Global Command and Control System – Joint (GCCS-J). Coordinate movement requirements and lift scheduling with organizations across the joint deployment enterprise and subordinate echelons of command to the unit level. Coordinate move and lift scheduling details with USTRANSCOM, 618th Tanker Airlift Air Control Center (TACC), Surface Deployment and Distribution Center (SDDC), USCENTCOM, and Joint and Navy theater counterparts. During this period, flawlessly deployed 10,000 sailors and 13 million pounds of unit equipment at transportation costs totaling $65M. Streamlined movement solutions resulting in over $3M of cost savings.

Managed projects across staff of over 40 gov/mil and civilian contractors on multiple contracts. Working improvement and transformation initiatives across Dept of Defense - Joint Staff, Ofc of Sec'y of Defense, Combatant Commanders (USCENTCOM, etc.), all Services and Combat Support Agencies. Produced capabilities and enablers that are now the current industry standard for Dept of Defense.
