High School Agriculture Teacher for 37 years. Responsible for developing curriculum and delivering instruction in the areas of Animal Science, Plant Science, Environmental Science, Agriculture Mechanics and Structures, and Agriculture Business/Economics to students in grades 9th – 12th. Also taught Introduction to Agriculture and Technology classes to 8th graders. As an Adjunct Professor, was able to provide college credits to students enrolled in the high school “dual credit” agriculture classes. In addition to classroom instruction, monitored student’s out-of-school SAE or Supervised Agriculture Experience Projects, and was the FFA Advisor for the local chapter of the National FFA Organization. Served in many leadership roles in the New York State FFA Organization as well as the New York Association of Agriculture Educators. Successfully secured $150,000 of Grant Funding to support the local Agriculture Department and FFA Organizations.Also involved with various small construction projects over the years including building a house and doing a rehab on another house. Did small masonry, electrical, plumbing, heating, and general house framing projects.
