Challenge:To serve as a liaison and translator to the GM of Operations and the CEO-- to bridge the communication gaps between the U.S. and Japan, and accelerate completion of the U.S. factory. Transitioned in December 2019 to the U.S. to start-up and lead sales-- serving as the role model in business development and sales effectiveness to expand sales for this precision prototyping and contract metalworking company.Results:> Managed the Sales Cycle-- from lead generation to contract close, delivering thousands of dollars in new revenue on low-volume parts.> Developed and delivered tailored customer presentations, introducing the company's value and selling its products and solutions to prospective customers.> Educated audiences on factory capabilities by developing and introducing digital marketing collateral on social channels, overcoming challenges associated with face-to-face communications during the COVID-19 pandemic.> Increased employees' knowledge of specialized manufacturing processes through the development and delivery of customized training, playing an integral role in cross-training to accelerate customer acquisition and revenue.> Utilized solid judgement and acquired business knowledge to bridge the English communication gaps and intercultural understanding for the CEO and GM, serving as a critical liaison and translator, and enabling informed decision making.

Challenge:To provide private English lessons and translation services to individuals and small businesses.Results:> Built a clientele of students across a variety of industries, developing the curriculum based on individual goals and knowledge level.> Earned the opportunity to launch as side business-- an opportunity not often granted to foreign nationals, gaining the trust of the mayor of the town by delivering value to the town through English instruction.

Challenge:To provide leadership in the training and management of assistant language teachers (ALTs) with the JET Programme. oversee the provision for English, supporting each teacher to produce lessons that will inspire and challenge every student across six elementary schools, one junior high school, and on high school.Results:> Developed a valuable English curriculum aligned with the standards of The Ministry of Education, gaining adoption by teachers in a system where English was not required at all grade levels.> Coupled the new English curriculum with ALT support, revising the national curriculum to support the reality of the municipality standards, as well as address teacher' concerns and apprehension.> Played an integral leadership role in establishing a career path for ALTs, providing opportunities for growth, and encouraging extracurricular activities as a method to gain new skills.> Designed and developed a weekend English Camp, managing appropriate approvals to secure three additional ALT resources from other municipalities, and managing all logistics for successful execution.

Challenge:To assist Japanese teachers in foreign language classes taught in elementary, junior, and senior high schools. Oversee foreign language activities, including preparation of class materials, and providing information on language and other related subjects.Results:> Earned selection as board president of the Hokkaido Association of JET (www.hajet.org), supporting ALTs to advance their professional skills in English education.> Established and nurtured relationships with teachers to create a positive experience, designing a tailored 1:1 approach to assist each teacher with his/her specific classroom needs.
