About William Strapp
John Strapp: Founder & CEO of Horizon Imaging & Design. John Strapp was born November 15, 1990 and grew up in Marrieta, Georgia. After graduating from Kennesaw Mountain High School, John enlisted in the United States Navy on August 12th, 2009. A year after arriving at his second duty station overseas in Naples, Italy, John met an aspiring professional photographer, who was also in the Navy. This allowed him to build interest in cinematography. He started out with a Canon T3i and began experimenting throughout the Naples Italian countryside. 3 years later, John saw his first DJI Phantom II in a Facebook ad. From the start, he knew this was a new platform to expand his horizons in dealing with photography. Before the turn of the 2016, Horizon Imaging and Design upgraded their primary aerial photography platform to the Inspire 1. This reinforced the professional level of quality which expanded the company’s possibilities in the upcoming year.
