I have been in higher education for 25 years as a professor of psychology and neuroscience. My research has ranged from gene expression in rodent cortex to human neuropsychological research, and from neuroscience in the media to theoretical papers on the teaching of science and religion. I am interested in adopting multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary approaches when asking programmatic and larger social questions. Over the past ten years, I have been a visiting scholar in science and religion at Oxford, a grant recipient of Cambridge's Faraday Institute, implemented an interdisciplinary Neuroscience program at Wheaton College, and became a Fellow of the International Society for Science and Religion. I have served primarily as an educator, but my strengths are as an integrative, multidisciplinary scholar and as a communicator who synthesizes complex material and makes it comprehensible for a range of audiences.
