About William Sullivan

Career AchievementsHigh Ranking SE –As a Sales Engineer, a constant top ten sales ranking with finishes that included number one in the US, number two twice in the world. Sales and maintenance across all verticals and divisions such as NOC, SOC, Cloud, Network, Application and Development teams. Multiple years as a Major Account SE.Worldwide Cross Silo Delivery and Integration – Adapting the sales and business cycle to deliver a worldwide solution to multiple teams of a major law firm. Brought in to support the NOC and Citrix teams, I augmented my engagement with other team (Cloud, DevOps and Security) to provide a cross functional platform which met the operational and business needs of all groups.DoS Attack Visibility – Working with a financial organization to leverage visibility solutions identifying denial of services attacks. Implemented a process to identify starts of DoS to their website. Output would report the origination of the traffic and allow for blockage. This saved the company from costly performance issues and complete customer portal outages.Technology Environment Studies – To determine root cause of application performance problems, conducted a study using visibility solutions. The results generated evidence that performance problems were actually not present nor varied across platform or mediums. It was shown that users reported issues based on the surrounding environment where they worked. As a result, business workflows were changes to allow for better working conditions which in turn generated almost no performance complaints and freed up man hours troubleshooting perception issues.LAN/WAN Forklift Upgrades – Major overhauls of the entire corporate network twice within seven years. Involved from initial phases of design and vendor selection to the final installation. Continued development, configuration, and deployment of all network and VPN devices as the infrastructure is treated as a growing and evolving entity meeting business needs of both local and remote staff via hosted and co-located resources.Tool Consolidation Project – Through a collaboration with the customer and technology partners, I assisted with the design, implementation, and delivery of a key security and visibility solution with integrations into select platforms. This new platform consolidated several workflows done previously through multiple tools now consolidated into one. This allowed for consistent data and messaging to all teams allowing for a reduction in operational costs by tool elimination and reduced man hours in maintenance.
