Standards in produce are much different than other departments. The department had a high turn over of fresh and packaged food. Ordering and keeping track of my on-hand counts was not enough, I had to make sure the freshest product was reaching the sales floor and nothing else. My daily routine would consist of removing and scanning out damaged product, or product not fresh anymore. Most items I could use for our Feeding America program where we donated our damaged food to local food banks. I would also check the delivery of the day to make sure freshness was being upheld at the warehouse. If not I would simply credit the food and donate. Anytime I could not donate I would put the product in a compost.Other tasks would include price changes, delegate tasks to crew, customer service, modular reset, ordering, breaking down the delivery, monthly inventory, culling product, seasonal changes, and feature changes (COMAC).

Before operating Frozen Foods, I help set up and build the Wal-Mart Supercenter in MAson, OH. All that is completed by the construction companies is the outer shell of the store, electrical, heating/cooling, and refrigeration. Everything else is set up by the employees, this includes the shelves, racks, storage units, inventory system, registers, and stocking. I still feel a lot of pride when I walk into this store, because I helped build it and put a lot of time into making it successful.As for the duties in Frozen Food I had to monitor temperature ranges and report anything wrong to Home Office, price changes, project task to crew, organize inventory, seasonal resets, assist in Dairy department, and communicate to store management with weekly reports.

I was promoted to Grocery Department Manager after six months of working in the backroom of the store as a Truck Unloader and ICS team member. This was for store #1441 that was originally on Fields Ertel Rd before it moved to it's Mason, OH location.My tasks as a Division 1 Grocery manager were price changes, coordinate project work with my third shift team, communication and seasonal reset work with the Store Manager, feature work, helping ICS team work product picks, set up for backroom truck delivery, and help other departments when I could.
