In line with the general tightening of the economy in 2007 I accepted a consultancy contract with AAA Auto (a very large Czech owned East European used vehicle retailer) to take charge of their Hungarian businesses – which they had expanded into over the proceeding year. My role was to stabilise this historically under performing Company and construct a viable management team whilst liaising with the manufacturer to establish better relations and implement a more grounded ongoing business plan. Subsequently, I was asked to spearhead an in-Company initiative to also acquire our key (M-B owned) used car competitor in the local area and successfully negotiated for the purchase of the Poole based Mercedes-Benz Direct used vehicle outlet from the Manufactures Retail Division.At the time of my leaving Jackson’s I was responsible for three Franchises across five locations with 5 Sales Managers, a Group Marketing Manager, a Group Sales Administration Manager, 3 Business Managers, a Logistics Manager and a Sales Team of over 20 Executives, plus all the support staff to these various departments.
