Senior Project Manager / Project Director. BSc. MPMINZ, MNZIOB. Private Pilot. In late 2016, with the support and encouragement of a number of colleagues and clients, I founded Leading Projects Limited (LPL). In 2022 I choose to focus more on freelancing and building a family home in the Far North.As a company Leading Projects built on over 50 years of combined experience in the New Zealand business and development planning, project and construction management sectors. We worked closely with a number of National Clients on significant, and often technically complex projects, throughout New Zealand. Experience includes the project management of two significant national design competitions, the design and delivery of over 50 individual projects, acting as the Clients Representative or Engineer to the Contract, the preparation of a number of private and public sector business cases, the negotiation of a long term developer contribution agreement, the drafting of advisory and selection documentation used on GETS, a number of management audits and many other advanced project, risk management and programming assignments.

Senior Project Manager / Project Director. Over 20 years of Project and Construction Management experience with Arrow International including a number projects which have included significant technical challenges, world firsts, great clients and outstanding teams. Roles included National Liaison Manager / Project Manager and / or Project Director on a number of strategic planning and capital works projects for the Salvation Army throughout New Zealand and the South Pacific as well as Massey University in Wellington, Auckland and Manawatu.

Helped lead the development of a number of Project and Construction Managment procedures and guidelines including best practice Project Initiations, project reporting and monitoring, project delivery and project close out. Assisted in the developement of the companies Project Delivery Manual. Conducted national training in Cost Managment and Programming.

Recruited to New Zealand by Downer in 1987 and worked as a Contracts Manager and Project Manager on several projects in the Auckland Region including the Auckland Children's Hospital, the Lynn Mall Redevelopment, the State Insurance Refurbishment, Multiwall Packaging plant, Waitakere Dam Strengthening, Ardmore Water Storage, etc.
