Network Security Manager
CurrentAs a people manager and technical manager, I oversee a team of Sr. Security Engineers whose primary mission is restoring services to our customers. Including correcting the initial element that stopped functioning, restoring redundancy and customer service via alternative means (workaround), or failing forward (Crisis Management).Lead RCA (root cause analysis) meetings with our vendors and look for opportunities to improve our network monitoring, propose design changes, or seek a hotfix or code upgrade.When not resolving network security outages, we address cyber security threats, including mitigating DDoS attacks, phishing, and smishing campaigns.Perform regular security audits to ensure our devices are protected. Maintain a Disaster Recovery Playbook when Data Centers lose primary and secondary power sources.Work with our capacity planning teams to ensure the network has the capacity available to support our traffic load.Maintain relationships with our numerous security vendors.
