Joined MBf Insurans Berhad as Business Executive in 1996. Mainly involved in agency development, marketing and underwriting of all classes of insurance including fire, engineering, motor, miscellaneous, business interruption, liability, marine including bancassurance business etc. Recruited by Crawford and Company Adjusters in 2000 and handled fire and extraneous perils, burglary, robbery, all risks, contractors and erection all risks, plate glass, machinery breakdown, electronic equipment, public liability, products liability, fidelity guarantee, personal accident, goods in transit losses including some high profile property damage, theft, product liability and medical malpractice losses.Joined AIG Malaysia Insurance in 2007 as Agency Manager tasked with development of new agents under the Insurance Trainee Certified Agents program. Promoted to Branch Manager in 2010 and managed branch operations in all areas including customers service, agency recruitment and development, business development, collections, cost control, managing stakeholders’ expectations, managing inter department relationships, compliance with all regulatory and reporting requirements beside ensuring branch’s profitability. Participated in projects to grow agency, agents' profitability and productivity and improve customer data quality at both company and APAC regional level respectively. Joined PIAM as Senior Manager, Head of Technical & Distribution Management in June 2017. Promoted to Assistant General Manager in Jan 2018. In my present role, I am involved in the Phased Liberalization of the Fire Tariff, Agents' Professional and Excellence (APEX) Roadmap, Industry Product Review Board (IPREB), Sabah & Sarawak Sub Committees beside the Fire, Marine, Engineering, Accident, Health, Others including Distribution Management Sub Committees. I contribute and participate actively in industry and regulator driven initiatives including the Medical Cost Containment Task Force, Motor Claims Ecosystem Review, Private Car Policy Wordings Review, Grievance Mechanism Committee, Digital Claims Data Exchange, PIAM Approved Repairers Scheme etc. I have opportunities to give career talks to university students and interns as well as technical presentations at business seminars.
