Starting in Central America for some months with surfboard underarm and backpack on I embarked upon this journey of fun, surfing, meeting great people and seeing different parts of the world. My savings went quickly so for funds I picked up different work with good people wherever I could (or had to), my jobs are listed below. The latter 3 roles overlapped and had a part time nature which suited my main underlying goal which was not to miss good surf conditions. 'Outer Point' surf equipment and clothing shop was born out of Irelands leading outdoor shop 'Call of the Wild'. From conception I was involved as manager and was responsible for the naming, branding and layout of the shop. My role involved day to day managerial duties, selection and sale of products. During my time there the shop grew into a consistent and profitable business and established a strong reputation as one of the most successful surf shops in Ireland.

After graduating from School and with savings from a summer bar job I flew off to see what the bottom of the world looked like. With a friend we travelled around both islands, sometimes working for accommodation with a stint working on Oriana Tomato farm, Tauranga, NZ and another filling various roles in Pog Mahones, bar Queenstown, NZ. I spent 5 weeks in Australia, backpacking before coming home.
