Implemented sweeping changes in the administrative department working with detailers and enlisted community managers to ensure the efficient re-classification and transfer of transitional personnel from Naval Nuclear Power Training Command to fleet Commands throughout the Navy, resulting in a 35% reduction in processing time while ensuring the needs of the Navy are continually met.Oversees the repair, maintenance and care of a 283,000 sq. ft. building space and the surrounding grounds totaling 6 acres utilizing a budget of $200,000. Managed the day-to-day operation, oversight, and management of a $2.5 billion, Nuclear-Powered, National Strategic Asset with a $2 million plus annual operating budget and the training, management and assessment of assigned crew of 160 highly skilled personnel. Directly managed and supervised 20 front line supervisors and four department heads.Manages all facets of shipboard operations from the Nuclear Reactor and Weapons Systems to Habitability, Food Service, and Personnel in routine, high priority and crisis situations. Certification included six major external inspections, performed by senior Navy and Department of Defense inspectors.
