I am a mechanical engineer, with a Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Iowa State. My blend of innovation and creativity enables me to approach problems from a unique perspective and develop new solutions. For example, I demonstrated this through my research toward MultiPhase Fluid flow analysis utilizing MRI imaging, while helping develop a research grant proposal with excess up to $10 million at the Iowa State MultiPhase Fluid Laboratory. My current role as a design engineer at Vermeer has challenged me to improve production speed by increasing clarity and simplifying the assembly process. Within 6 months of employment, my team and I have greatly increased the annual production of large scale industrial machines. Our contributions have produced more than $2.5 million of increased annual revenue. The experience I’ve gathered will aid me in my goals to not only improve proficiency, but also the efficiency of all products I will work with in the future. The combination of my engineering experience and my skills has geared me to not only be an effective team-member, but an asset to any organization. Within the next five years, I see myself growing my knowledge of engineering by working with different machinery and assuming new leadership positions. I not only aspire to bring my skills to a new workplace, but also coach and teach newer engineers. Within the next ten years, I see myself assuming the role of a creator of new engineering machinery.
