I am currently employed as the Information Technology Manager with a large company since 2003. I am responsible for IT management, Windows Servers, user management, day to day support of the various engineering systems and networks, server and workstation patching, Active Directory and group policy management, and work extensively with radio broadcast systems such as Wheatnet, Wide Orbit, Telos VX, News Boss, audio over IP, and other radio specific IT technology. In addition I work with corporate teams on various projects and day to day issues concerning network security, budgeting, implementation of corporate policy, and configuration of network equipment such as firewalls, routers, and switches. I am also on various teams that help shape radio engineering and IT standards for the company and provide support to resolve issues pertaining to WAN, LAN, and various system issues.I started out my IT career in programming utilizing such languages as COBOL and various database programing languages. From there I starting writing programs for point of sale and inventory control systems that ran across computer networks and took an interest in computer networking and achieved various industry certifications such as the MCSE, MCSA, and CCNA. At one point I achieved the CompTIA Certified Technical Trainer and for a brief period was teaching MCSE boot camps.In previous positions I have been in many roles including: IT Manager, Supervisor, Sales Engineer, Project Manager, Field Installer, Top Tier Tech Support, and classroom IT instructor.At one point I also had my CCNA and configured Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls however that CCNA certification has been retired and I have not configured Cisco equipment directly for many years now so I do not list it as a skill although I still have a good understating of the technology.
