I am responsible for supporting projects for all engineers in the company. I assisted with ordering material for each job and monitor the flow of stock to ensure proper material is available and ready as the jobs progress. I coordinate with purchasing to ensure orders are correct and optimized on price and time. I have assumed a leading role in the transition from the job tracking system that was in place upon my hire to the new system being implemented. This includes ensuring that all material is cataloged, all stages of procurement are successful, and providing feedback to ensure the new software is tailored to our ideal functionality. This includes uploading assemblies and drawings from SolidWorks into the software and ensuring all information transitions properly and is easily managed once in place. My position ensures that all departments (drafting, engineering, production, and purchasing) have a method to stay connected and function properly without gaps in communication and execution.

I was responsible for creating SOP’s and QRG’s for multiple businesses across a variety of mediums. I was also tasked with creating spreadsheets and presentations based on client data. In addition to my office duties, I traveled to multiple work sites for various companies in order to conduct research and to discuss implementation of better practices for each company. We incorporated Lean Six Sigma methodology in our practices so I gathered experience with process mapping, workflow diagrams, and other tools used for identifying and optimizing operational procedures.

My team and I were responsible for coordinating and facilitating maintenance for all stores, distribution centers, and truck care centers. We communicated with Love’s staff as well as third-party vendors to ensure maintenance work was handled swiftly and correctly. While my team collectively mitigated all aspects of maintenance for all locations, my primary area of focus was fuel maintenance. I was responsible for coordinating with vendors and the stores to ensure issues were clearly described and solutions were confidently executed. I also regularly communicated with fuel and fuel equipment providers to ensure proper product was ordered/delivered as necessary. I was responsible for tracking data not limited to inventory, info on new/replaced equipment, and asset information. I was a key factor in the implementation of a QR system for tracking asset info across all locations. I also took on projects outside of my job description such as managing the transition of the types of fuel sold at select locations. This required coordination between stores and fuel providers to enact a smooth transition, as well as working with vendors to ensure all fuel dispensers/stores maintained state and federal compliance throughout the transition.
