I supported public and patient involvement in biomedical research. The Patient Experience Research Centre (PERC) is a multidisciplinary group of clinicians, public health specialists and social scientists combining strengths in quantitative and qualitative research methods. I helped to promote active communication between patients, researchers and clinical staff to address real problems, and through this improve the quality of healthcare and the impact of translational research.

The project was split into four areas: personalised medicine and care; data science; digital cultures; interactive arts practices.I worked closely with Professor Sophie Day to run studies in health - our studies in breast cancer care and HIV highlighted how NHS services were adapting to new ways of diagnosing, understanding and targeting disease. I held two fellowships that provided me the resources to research the cultural histories of twins and twinning, The work encompassed ancient history, philosophy, religion, medicine, anthropology and media. I helped to develop initiate and develop book projects, negotiate contractual agreements, manage and revise print schedules, administer peer-review, prepare rights lists and attend book fairs.
