Information Management Specialist
CurrentPrivacy • Create, review, and provide expert advice on policies, programs, initiatives, proposals, contracts, and information sharing agreements. • Conduct privacy impact assessments (PIAs) relating to the collection, use, and disclosure of personal information. • Ensure compliance with, investigate, report, and mitigate issues relating to privacy. • Conduct research, monitor privacy trends, best practices, and legal requirements to mitigate privacy issues that may impact the organization. • Engage in continuous improvement to enhance the privacy program, its policies, procedures, guidelines. Information Management• Structure, design, and manage the IM program, including policies, standards, procedures, training, monitoring, auditing, evaluating and ongoing administration and direction of the IM staff. • Effectively lead the IM program in change management, strategic planning, data governance, information architecture, project management and risk identifications. • Conduct research, monitor IM trends, best practice, and legal requirements. Training and Guidance (Privacy and IM)• Develop and/or deliver training and awareness programs to promote an understanding of privacy and IM. • Act as the subject matter expert to internal and external stakeholders to identify, analyze and assess privacy issues and develop solutions. • Work in collaboration with information technology, legal counsel, business intelligence, cybersecurity, marketing, and other stakeholders to ensure corporate programs and activities follow privacy legislation, and corporate policies, and standards.
