I am a current undergraduate student studying microbiology at East Tennessee State University. Upon graduation I intend to finish my Master's of Public Health and apply to medical school to achieve my long time goal of becoming a physician. Through my coursework and research I have obtained proficient skill in PCR, gel electrophoresis, gram staining, plate counts, behavioral testing in mice, immunohistochemistry, general microscopy, fluorescent microscopy, and have gained ample knowledge in microbial diseases.My professional interests lie in immunology and transplant surgery. I hope to one day help in increasing the number of organ donors, decreasing the amount of organs wasted, and helping develop surgical techniques/novel therapies to decrease the rate of post-operative organ rejection.
