Bill Weidner has been active in the oil and gas industry since 1980 and in oil and gas finance since 1988, having worked initially as a petroleum geologist and then starting in 1988 as a money manager for CT-based investment firm, RIMCO, before forming Weidner & Co. in 1994 as an independent oil and gas investment advisory firm, later merged in 1997 with COSCO Capital Management, and building that firm into the premier oil and gas investment banking and principal investment boutique during the first decade of this century, and then having sold COSCO to Rodman & Renshaw in 2008. Mr. Weidner now runs Weidner Advisors, an oil and gas asset management and corporate finance consulting business providing the complete package of private equity and debt capabilities on an outsourced or retained basis to institutional investors, their consultants and their money managers, or to owners in oil and gas companies and their companies, themselves.Specialties: Superior business analysis, character judgement, people skills and writing skills for application to private investments in the oil and gas industry, whether as an agent, a consultant, a provider of capital or a user of capital.
